The six-port docking station is network-based, providing two Ethernet ports for scalability and fast deployment. A LAN port is used for administrative setup, whereas a WAN port is for data upload to a designated folder while charging. A USB 3.1 Gen 1 port is also included for storing video recordings and snapshots to external storage devices.

The BMT-20 is a binoculars-type, simultaneous dual iris capture system intended for enrollment applications, especially very large scale programs, in which subjects are presumed to have no prior experience in providing iris biometrics samples. Developed for and proven in the highly demanding India UID program, the BMT-20 offers the fastest capture speeds, superior usability, minimal failure-to-captures rates and outstanding image quality.

Most importantly, the instructions are easy to communicate, resulting in a simple experience for operator and subject alike. The user is simply directed to raise the BMT-20 to his or her eyes as if they were binoculars, touching the forehead bar to the subject just above the eye brows. Once the device is in position, they are asked to center their eyes in the internal mirror while keeping them wide open their eyes. The system does all the work of finding the irises and capturing pristine iris biometrics samples. The BMT-20 is extremely efficient: once the subject’s eyes are centered, the iris images are captured in 1.0 second or less.

The BMT-20 features the largest depth of capture of any binoculars type camera on the market. This capture range, a full 30 mm, covers the range in the position of the iris relative to the forehead of the entire population of adults and children down to 5 years old. This means that all irises are within the focus capture zone when the BMT-20 is touching the forehead. By eliminating the need to reposition the eyes during exposure, the system is consistently fast and highly robust for large scale programs. It also offers the largest interpupillary distance range of any device on the market of 40 to 90 mm, enabling image capture on children, again as young as 5 years of age.

The BMT-20 meets the stringent requirements for IP64, which means the device is highly resistant to contamination from the smallest of airborne particles such as dust and dirt. The system also includes an internal white LED that serves to constrict subject’s pupil diameters to a consistent level, thereby improving the quality of the enrollment image even in low light ambient environments.

The EF-45M is the modular version of CMITech’s next generation dual iris imaging system. It is intended for specialized solution integrators to incorporate high accuracy iris recognition biometrics into a kiosk or similar self-service terminal.


The modular design allows the integrator to utilize the kiosk’s own display screen to show the user’s face image during iris image capture with the same positioning feedback cues and instructions as in the EF-45 system. In this way, there is only one display on the system, thereby minimizing console or front surface area usage and improving the overall appearance of the kiosk.

The EMX-30 is a fully hands-free, dual iris imager intended for desktop, countertop and kiosk enrollment and authentication applications. This lightweight and compact system operates at a stand-off distance range of 32 to 35 cm. The EMX-30 features a simple and intuitive user interface, making it easy to use and integrate, even for subjects with minimal acclimation.

The EMX-30 provides exclusive subject positioning distance indicators, so that the subject can quickly and reliably place his or her eyes within the capture zone. Thanks to its unique distance calculation capability, subjects no longer need to guess at or hunt for correct eye placement. LED’s located within the mirror’s display easily guide the subjects into the correct position: a blue light indicates too far away, red too close, and green indicates the correct distance.

The proprietary face-finding function makes this a touch-free system. The iris imager head automatically tilts to the correct angle for each subject, quickly adjusting for the subject’s height. This tilt head feature is also optically implemented, so that EMX-30 can be placed behind an optical glass or plastic partition, such as those found in a kiosk or outdoor protective enclosure.

The EMX-30 simultaneously collects both iris images. This real time image quality metrics assure that all images exceed the ISO 19794-6 standards for image quality, ensuring optical matching accuracy, even for very large subject populations. Highly affordable, the EMX-30 is USB-based, and requires only a minimally configured PC that is placed within the USB standard cable length to operate.

The EF-45N next generation dual iris imaging system provides unprecedented subject ease of use through a highly innovative and intuitive user positioning approach. Subjects will view their own face in a front-facing, high resolution 5.0 inch color display to position themselves correctly within the real-time graphic interface. They will intuitively and naturally move to the correct position by simply centering and sizing their face image to the box within the display. In addition, the positioning box and the top border turn green to indicate proper distance positioning, after which the iris biometrics images are automatically collected, provided that the real time image quality metrics are satisfied.
