What are Manual Call Points?

To activate an alarm, modern manual call points now feature plastic parts that must be firmly depressed. Modern call points with plastic elements are also resettable and can be used time and time again.

A call point should be installed at a height of 1.4m above floor level at easily accessible and conspicuous positions. This includes exit routes, at the entry floor landing of staircases, and at all exits to the open air.

A fire alarm call point should also be spaced so that one may always be found within a maximum distance of 30m apart.

What is Electric Strike Door Access?

An electric strike is a type of door frame access control mechanism. It takes the place of the fixed strike faceplate that is commonly used with latches (also known as a keeper). It generally presents a ramped or beveled surface to the locking latch, similar to a fixed strike plate, allowing the door to close and latch as a fixed strike would.
