There are three main types of RFID systems:
Low Frequency (LF): 30 kHz to 300 kHz – short read range, used in livestock tracking.
High Frequency (HF/NFC): 3 MHz to 30 MHz – used in payment systems, smart cards.
Ultra-High Frequency (UHF): 300 MHz to 3 GHz – long-range, commonly used in supply chain management.
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a subset of HF RFID. The main differences are:
NFC works at very short ranges (up to 10 cm)
NFC allows two-way communication
